Video: “love to learn at Greene County Primary School”
Problem: Facing the threat of declining enrollment in Summer 2021 among parents considering homeschooling their children due to fears about COVID-19, the Greene County School System’s Pre-k–3 primary school wanted to release an upbeat back-to-school video that showcased the school’s special programs and focus on literacy.
Solution: I created “Love to Learn at Greene County Primary School,” a promotional video to showcase the engaging and innovative atmosphere at the school. I conducted all the filming, writing, audio recording, and editing for this project, with the exception of filming the overhead drone shots. The video was posted on the school’s Facebook page the weekend prior to the first day of school in August 2021 to encourage back-to-school enthusiasm among parents nervous about sending their children to school in-person due to the COVID-19 Pandemic. It also serves as the welcome video on the homepage of the school’s website.

Stock Photography: Greene County School system
Problem: The Greene County School System Communications Department needs a continuously-updated a bank of “stock” photography to use in publications, advertisements, web design, and other marketing materials.
Solution: Each school year, starting with the first day of the school year in August, I tour the district’s schools and capture students in a variety of candid and posed scenarios illustrating the schools’ environments and programmatic offerings. These photos are then incorporated into brochures, posted on the school system website, and used as stills in video projects, and involved in a variety of other marketing materials produced by the Communications Department.

Problem: Anita White Carson Middle School in Greene County was facing a negative perception in the community about the climate and culture at the school. One of the most crucial aspects of the school’s positive climate and culture was its caring staff, but the school needed a way to highlight them.
Solution: The school engaged the GCSS Communications Department to help solve this problem, and I created a series of videos highlighting its staff and their love for teaching and their school community. Each video featured a personal message from a teacher, along with clips showing her working alongside the students in her classroom. The school published the videos on its Facebook and Instagram pages and received positive feedback from the community.
