Greene County 2020 FOOTball preview ad

Problem: Due to the COVID-19 Pandemic, Greene County High School planned to sell only advance tickets for 2020 football games in order to ensure social distancing. The school needed to communicate to the community how to buy tickets in advance online.

Solution: The GCSS Communications Departments reserved ad space in the Football Preview special sections of both local newspapers in Greene County. I designed the half-page ad pictured here to hype up football fans for the Tigers’ 2020 season and direct readers to the school system’s website and mobile app to purchase football tickets.

Problem: The Greene County School System developed the theme “Be Inspired” for the 2021-2022 school year. The Communications Department wanted to promote the theme and tie it to the district’s tagline of “Start Here and Go Far.”

Solution: I designed the ad pictured here for placement in the local newspapers and on social media, which tied the year’s theme and the district’s tagline together by asking “How far will you go?” The ad features two children reaching for the stars to symbolize how far Greene County students can go and to lean into the district’s STEM initiative.

Problem: A local pest control business based in Danielsville, Georgia has begun facing stiff competition from larger pest control companies expanding their service areas out from nearby Athens. The owner has maintained a billboard on a major highway between the two cities, but it had an outdated, text-heavy, monochrome design with few images. The billboard advertisment needed an update to catch the eye of highway drivers coming home to Danielsville from Athens.

Solution: I designed a new advertisement, pictured here, which features the same pricing and service information displayed on the old billboard, but does so in a more visually engaging way. It includes more graphics, a new call to action, and provides website information to facilitate the call to action.
